ADDICTS By Paula Fryling
What is the definition of addict?
Is it someone who has a problem with drugs or alcohol? Or is it someone who has a fondness with something and can't pull away? To me, they're all considered addicts. Not just drugs and alcohol, but also people addicted to other people, places or things and even gambling.
You see, the world has a numerous amount of addicts of all sorts. It doesn't make us any different from one another.
People think we are weak for not being perfect. No one is perfect, and everyone is an addict in their own way. If anything, we are stronger beings when we overcome an addiction because we learn positives and negatives and become more wise about ourselves, surroundings and others.
The worst thing a person can do is beat yourself down by not having confidence, not believing in yourself, never trying and not doing something for yourself.
Always remember, we are the most precious things created by our heavenly father. He believes in us 100%, so we should also believe in ourselves and every suffering addict out there who needs our support too.
I KNOW there is hope for everyone who seeks it. I KNOW this because the people in this room are full of hope. Hope, love, caring and knowledge to share with everyone to strengthen our minds and selves to carry with us for the rest of our lives.
We can thank GOD for providing one another for each other to carry on our lives to live HAPPILY with ourselves.
WE CAN DO IT! YES WE CAN!
Love,
Paula Fryling
